At our small Sonoma County homestead, we raise sheep, goats, chickens and more. It’s our long-term goal to provide eggs, milk, meat, fruits and vegetables, herbs, honey and more to our family and our community.
We are dedicated to being stewards of the land and nourishing it just as it nourishes us. We are striving to achieve net-zero in energy usage and waste. What does that mean? It means that our food and animal waste returns to the soil to be composted, later becoming food for the plants that feed us and our animals. Rainwater is captured and used, solar panels provide us with power. Mother nature provides.
If you feel as passionate about sustainability, permaculture and ethical farming as we do, we invite you to reach out to us!
Nature loves diversity and so do we! People of color, the LGBTQ+ community, the differently abled and neurodiverse are especially encouraged to participate in the magic of Fern Homestead.
Fern Homestead is a bay area woman-owned and veteran-owned business.
